NewsMaker Systems goes live with NewsCaster Control at WDIO TV (ABC) Duluth, MN

ASHEVILLE, NC – March 8, 2023 - NewsMaker Systems today announced completion of installation of a NewsCaster Automation System using NewsCaster Control for Live Production operation at WDIO TV (ABC) Duluth, MN.

NewsMaker Systems NewsCaster uses the rundown events from a MOS Protocol enabled newsroom computer system and combines them with all of the functionality of live TriCaster/Vectar operations - including the contents of the audio, video, text and graphics. NewsCaster has been especially designed to work seamlessly with major newsroom computer systems such as ENPS, Avid iNews, Octopus and Ross Video Inception.

The system in Duluth is configured with redundant NewsCaster Servers, each interfaced to their own Viz Vectar production switcher. Lower third, full screen, over the shoulder and bug graphics are being generated by redundant NewBlueFx Titler Pro systems, under the full control of the NewsCaster Style based automation system. Multiple external on-set monitors are being driven via NDI, also under NewsCaster automation control.
